Printable greeting cards are in a category all of their own. These websites are catering exclusively to the population that doesn’t want to be out buying cards but still wants to choose and send greetings the traditional way. The concept of e-greetings has come under some amount of criticism from such people, because it lacks the personal touch and feel of paper.

Now, printable greeting card websites allow the user to create a theme greeting with a customized, personal message. They put a variety of cards on offer, all of which can be printed along with matching envelopes. They give one the option to choose a colored card or black-and-white card. These printable greeting cards also come with a bunch of pictures one can use on the front of a card.

The sites advise the user to keep in mind the capability of the particular printer that is going to do the job. Some images are simple drawings with few colors, while some are photo-quality images.

Also, if one wants to choose from preformatted titles, one may simply choose the “blank” option and then write out a separate message. At any point during the process of designing and printing, if the user decides to change some of the selections, they can do so by using the back button on the browser.

Most sites offer envelopes along with cards, but sometimes the ordinary ones won’t do. Most printable greeting card sites will offer tips on how to create matching confetti envelopes.

Creating custom cards is another fad that sites are selling. The user is allowed to try making and printing a card for free. Then comes the question of membership. Essentially, they are of two kinds, one that allows you unlimited access for a fee and the other, basic membership model that is free. They also provide designs and borders and ideas, which can be copied to help embellish the end product.

Printable greeting cards make life easier if one is web-enabled. They remove the monotony of cards produced en masse and add a touch of adventure into the whole business of publishing and printing personalized greeting cards.

January 26th, 2007 No Comments   Posted in Articles, Sponsored BlogADS

Nowadays, professional business cards can be extremely useful tool for marketing your business and yourself. Your business cards should be professional in appearance and have several different methods to contact you. These should include telephone number, fax number, email address and mailing address. Additional contact information is a plus.

One of the biggest mistakes you can make with your business cards is not handing enough of them out. Business cards are an inexpensive way of leaving a piece of yourself with a potential client.

Handing you card to the right people is also very important. Get your business cards into the hands of decision makers. The people who can make the all-important buying decision are ideal candidates.

Most importantly, don’t leave them sitting in the box! Take them with you and use them whenever a situation invites itself. This can be at business functions or any other type of activity where the subject of your business comes up.

Be ready and don’t miss your opportunity. If you make a good impression on a person and later they are in need of your service or product, they may end up pulling out your business card and contacting you.

When your information changes, make sure you get new cards made right away. Don’t fall into the unprofessional habit of crossing out old telephone numbers or email addresses. Spend the extra couple of dollars and do it right.

Remember, first impressions are the most important. If you only get one chance to impress upon someone, don’t blow it with a hand written, white out, or other sloppy looking mistakes.

Your business card represents you and your company. Make sure you put your best foot forward and do it often.

Business Cards- How to make them impressive and stand out

One of the most powerful, yet over looked weapons in your marketing arsenal are your business cards. If designed properly this little 3 x 2.5 piece of paper will not only let people know how to contact you it will also tell them why they should contact you. In order to be effective and get you more business your Business cards must stand out, and get noticed.

Here are 5 Tips to make your Business Card Stand out according to Jack Bastide

1 - Use Full Color Printing

In the old days full color printing (4 color printing) was extremely expensive. You could pay over $200 /1000 for high quality full color cards. Prices have dropped and you can now get beautiful full color cards printed for about the same price as a plain two color card.

2 - Use a Tagline

A “tagline” is a one sentence benefit statement. Think of your Business card as a “Mini Billboard”. Pretend that you are writing a classified ad for a newspaper. You only have a small amount of space to describe your product or service in an intriguing way … what would you write to describe it? For example: A Realtor could say “Helping Build dreams one home at a time”

3 - Put a picture on it!

I highly recommend that you put a picture on your business card. Studies have shown that people are more likely to hold on to a Business card with a photo on it. It could be your picture, a picture of your product, or a combination of both. Picture cards get attention!

4 - Don’t use Business Card “Templates”

There are websites you can go to online where you can choose from pre-made business card designs called templates. Th
e problem with this is that the more people who use these templates the more you card starts to look like everybody else’s. You want to have a business card that stands out from everybody else’s, not one that gets lost in the crowd.

5 - Let a Professional Design It

Unless you are a professional graphic designer designing your own card is like performing root canal on yourself. Its going to take a lot of time and you may not be happy with the results. Leave the designing to the professionals and use you time doing what you do best … selling your product or service!

HDMI cable

HDMI is an acronym for High-Definition Multimedia Interface. Version 1.0 of the HDMI specification was released in December of 2002, followed by version 1.1 in May of 2004. Like the DVI spec, there are both single and dual link version of HDMI. The single link version is known as “Type A” and the dual link version is “Type B”. At the time of this writing, Type B has been defined, but I have not seen any equipment or cables that support it. So for practical purposes, HDMI Type A is the only one that we need to be concerned with at this time.

Like DVI single link, HDMI Type A supports video pixel rates up to 165 MHz. The spec was designed with HDTV in mind, so naturally, it supports all HDTV video formats up to 1080p. In addition, up to eight digital audio channels are supported.

Because only one flavor is currently in use, compatibility is very simple. If have two HDMI-enabled components, any HDMI cable can be used to connect them.
