Quest Personals - Reviewed by Cupid
I’d seen advertisements on TV for Quest Personals. They looked like your basic infomercial, so I really hadn’t put much stock in what they were selling. As time passed, curiosity got the better of me so here’s what I found inside the site…
QuestPersonals.com has a lot to offer those who appreciate a detailed profile. Besides the usual questions about age and race, they have a few additional sections that include information such as favorite books and movies. They go into your career and work goals, without getting too specific. There’s a section where you can leave a voice greeting and they can even promote in your local paper if you want. Some of the questions might not suit you, but having them there allows you the room to express yourself in as much or as little detail as you’d like. It also may give you better insight into Mister or Misses Right, if you stumble across their profile.
“. . . we suggest you proceed with caution.â€Â
You’ll be pleased to know that Quest Personals gives you a number of search options to help narrow your results. You can sort by some of the basics such as age, ethnicity and smoking habits. The site is missing some other essential search options, though, such as by height and body type. Search results can be ordered based on last log-in date but it doesn’t tell you when a person last logged on, making it impossible to tell how busy the site is. This is a huge drawback to QuestPersonals.com so we suggest you proceed with caution.
Quest is up to par with other leading dating sites when it comes to free access. They allow you to do just about anything accept initiate contact. Once you pay, you can initiate chat sessions and send email or video messages. You also need to be a paid subscriber to listen to personal voice greetings. However, free members can wink away at all members and can respond to any paid member that contacts them for free. You can’t ask for more from a dating site.
The biggest thing hurting Quest Personals right now is lack of popularity on the web. You may live in an area where the site is popular, but you’ll have to log on to find out. Unfortunately, that’s where the problem with the last login date comes into play, making it almost impossible to tell how many people have been online in any given timeframe.
At $24.95 a month, QuestPersonals.com is on the higher end of the membership scale, but at least there’re many features for members with that price tag. This just may be a site to watch if they can get a handle on their marketing. For now, we say proceed with caution here as they leave a little too much guesswork when it comes to members for our liking.
